I have just finished the new website for the Delta chapter of STE at Mount Union College.
In addition to general background information, the site has a number of useful features.
It has its own tagboard or wall; similar to the Facebook wall many are familiar with, perhaps too familiar with. It can be used for many things, however the main purpose is for alumni to stop by and say hello and what not.
The site also has a sweet calendar that will be updated on a regular basis. You click each event to view more detailed information. If you signup or already have an account with Google, you can then sign in and add it to your own calendar to RSVP, and/or request a reminder be sent to you via e-mail and maybe even through a text message at a selected time interval before the event (anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 week).
Finally, there are two different daily devotionals on the site for everyone to use. One is from Words of Hope (woh.org) and the other is directly from The Upper Room. Since these are feeds from other sites, they will be updated automatically every day by the respected sources. Try both out and follow whichever one you prefer.
You can check it out by going to http://delta.sigmatheta.org
I’d appreciate any comments you have. |
